Down on the Farm - 4/10/13

AAA - Oklahoma City 3 Nashville 1

Jarred Cosart had electric stuff in his second start of the season as he held the Sounds to just 1 hit in 5 innings while striking out 7 as the RedHawks (5-2) defeated Nashville 3-1. Jimmy Paredes had the big blow clubbing a two-run home run, and that was all the help Cosart and company would need. Wes Musick added 3 solid innings of relief before giving way to the closer, Jose Valdez who pitched a perfect 9th to earn his second save. Jake Elmore extended his hitting streak to 6 games with a double.

Advanced A- Lancaster 7 Lake Elsinore 5

The JetHawks (5-1) jumped out to an early 6-1 lead, and hung on in the end to squeak by the Storm 7-5. Chris Devenski tossed 5 strong innings to earn his first win of the season and shortstop Nolan Fontana stayed red hot going 3 for 5 with a double, a homer and 2 runs batted in. Matt Duffy added his third home run of the young season and DH Brandon Meredith went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple. Closer Travis Ballew recorded the final two outs of the game to earn his second save.
