Down on the Farm - 4/6/13

AAA - Oklahoma City 3 Memphis 1

Marc Krauss drove in a pair of runs, and Jimmy Paredes added an rbi single and doubled for the third straight game as the RedHawks (2-1) edged out the Redbirds 3-1. Jarred Cosart started for the RedHawks and allowed just 1 run in 4 innings for work. Josh Zeid worked a scoreless 5th and was credited with the win while John Ely tossed 4 scoreless innings to seal the game and earn his first save. Trevor Crowe added a pair of runs for the RedHawks.

AA - Corpus Christi 5 Springfield 2

George Springer, Domingo Santana and Jonathan Meyer all homered as the Hooks (2-1) defeated the Cardinals 5-2. Asher Wojciechowski (1-0) started for the Hooks and threw 5 solid innings allowing just one hit and striking out 7 to earn the win. Alex Sogard got the final four outs to earn his first save.

Advanced A - Lancaster 3 High Desert 1

Delino DeShields had 3 hits, 2 runs, and stole 3 bases to lead the JetHawks (2-1) to a 3-1 win over the Mavericks. Tyson Perez got the start and allowed just 1 run in 4 innings, while David Rollins (1-0) worked 4 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. Nolan Fontana, Zachary Johnson and Matt Duffy all drove in runs for the JetHawks.

Low A - Quad Cities 13 Kane Country 10 (11 innings)

The River Bandits (3-0) blew an 8-1 lead as Kane County forced extra innings with a 3-run rally in the bottom of the 9th, but Ryan Dineen delivered a go ahead rbi single in the top of the 11th to put the Bandits ahead for good. Carlos Correa went 4 for 7 with a double, a homer, and 5 rbis to lead a 17 hit attack, while Teoscar Hernandez, Roberto Pena and Dineen all had 3 hits apiece. Gera Sanchez (1-0) blew the save in the bottom of the 9th, but ended up vulturing a win while Cameron Lamb pitched a scoreless 11th for his first save.
